Mr. McCully practised as a business lawyer, specializing
in business law, including advising boards on corporate governance
issues. He worked extensively in the not-for-profit sector,
holding senior management positions and major gift fundraising
positions in both the health care and education sectors. Additionally,
he has offered advice to the charitable sector on a wide range
of issues, including governance, tax, director liability and
strategy.
Since 2001, Mr. McCully has developed an expertise in Canada’s
evolving privacy legislation. His unique perspective, gained
from working as a business lawyer, but also from working within
the charitable development world, allows him to apply that
knowledge to the application of privacy law to both of those
sectors.
Overall, PrivacyConsult foresaw a need to focus on how the
changing privacy laws in Canada and abroad would impact business,
professional associations and the charitable sector. Our core
